Niche events business seeks an exceptional senior conference producer looking to move into a managerial role in the role of MD.
This highly successful Life Sciences events business is enjoying record growth and as a result of this the need has arisen to hire an outstanding senior conference producer who has ideally experienced some management duties in their current role. They are currently at 20 full–time employees, this number is expected to grow significantly in the months ahead.
The MD is responsible for a division encompassing the creation and development of events. Assuming full P&L responsibility, the MD delivers commercial targets set by the board of directors.
Main duties:
Devise, operate and evaluate a strategy designed to deliver commercial targets. Develop new events through continuous research and validation.
Hire, develop and lead a team of producers.
Provide training, coaching and mentoring for managers in production.
Uphold the standards of production expected within the business.
Contribute to the development of leadership within the business.
Champion their core cultural values of quality, inclusion and equality.
Profile of Candidate required:
5 + years in conference production ideally with some management skills
An interest in b2b events
Degree educated
A proven track record of delivering exceptional b2b conferences
Entrepreneurially minded with an interest in running your own division within a business
Ideally an interest in Life Sciences (not a must)
