Would you like to join a global Aerospace and Defence organisation? Do you want to play a key part in protecting the lives and futures of others? We are currently looking for Principal Systems Engineers to work in Basildon or Luton or Southampton (Hybrid working) on an initial 6 month contract (OUTSIDE IR35).
The Role
As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Employ a model–based systems engineering approach to develop architectures and requirements for a next–generation airborne EW sensor / effector system.
Perform use case analysis for signal processing methods and countermeasure technique generation.
Undertake top–down system design, explore architectural options and complete trade–off studies.
In addition, you will also develop system requirements and translate them into subsystem requirements and interface definitions and liaise with internal and external customers and stakeholders to agree the solution.
You
To succeed within the role of Principal Systems Engineer, you'll have experience in a similar position in Aerospace and Defence Industry and have the following skills:
High proficiency working across the systems engineering lifecycle
Expertise with MBSE processes, tools (e.g. Cameo System Modeler,) and languages (e.g. SysML).
Familiarity with using IBM DOORS for requirements development and management.
In addition, you should have experience of engineering gate reviews and the associated assessment of design compliance and knowledge of airborne and ground–based radar systems.
Due to security nature of this role, candidate must have live SC clearance or eligible for SC clearance.
