The Data Protection Manager will report directly into the General Counsel and provide a broad range of privacy & compliance support. This will include:

The ideal Data Protection Manager - Manchester will have a background in data protection & GDPR.
In addition, you will have experience:
- undertaking DPIAs
- drafting DPAs
- implementing policies
- understanding and shaping a privacy framework

Description
The Data Protection Manager will report directly into the General Counsel and provide a broad range of privacy & compliance support. This will include:
- Informing and advising the business on GDPR
- Advising on data protection matters and manage group data protection risk
- Developing and implementing data privacy notices
- Investigating data breaches
- Acting as the contact point for the ICO
- Overseeing the data processing records ensuring they are up to date
- Overseeing and challenge data protection impact assessments
- Overseeing data retention and compliance with policy.
- Overseeing data subject right requests process
- Provide general advice on data protection legislation and regulation
- Raising awareness and provide training to the business in relation to data protection obligations and requirements.
- Ownership of the website's online privacy policies and cookies policies.
