Our client is a privately owned and quite unique sales business that has successfully disrupted what was previously considered to be a well-established and conservative business model in the sector. The business has enjoyed unprecedented growth throughout the pandemic and beyond and has benefited from some of the lifestyle changes that much of the population have embraced. As we move in to more economically challenging times the business is set to continue on a growth journey utilising a digitally- driven, design led approach whilst maintaining high levels of service and embodying a philosophy that upholds and values design principles influenced by timeless concepts and natural materials. The Managing Director is looking to hire a Finance and Operations Director to partner her and the SMT at the helm of the business. The successful candidate will be expected to provide strategic financial analysis and advice on key business decisions and ensure that the infrastructure is in place to allow the business to successfully fulfil its ambitious growth strategy.

Key responsibilities:
  • Oversee all day to day operations of the Finance Function
  • Ensure cash flow and costs are monitored efficiently and accurately
  • Ensure the operational infrastructure – including IT and HR - is in place to facilitate commercial teams to meet ambitious revenue targets
  • Provide financial and operational direction and support for core and non-core new business development opportunities
  • Add strategic value at Board level
  • Manage relationships with external parties such as Banks, Auditors and Shareholders
  • Manage the organisations Risk and Compliance exposures
  • Oversee the company’s legal operations to include all contract negotiations throughout the business
This is a high profile position in a fast paced and dynamic business where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a positive impact from day one. The role would suit an ambitious, confident and independent minded senior finance professional who is excited to be part of a growth story and a value creation opportunity.

In addition a candidate who has an enthusiasm for art, design, architecture and interiors would be perfect for this role.

We are committed to encouraging and celebrating applicants from different backgrounds, whatever their gender, ethnicity, race, religious and political beliefs, education, socioeconomic background, disability, sexual orientation and geographical location to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
