Tax Accountant - rapidly growing, innovative sport and media business

Based: City of London (Hybrid role)

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 (dependent on experience) plus excellent benefits

Tax Accountant - About the role

Working closely alongside the Global Reporting Manager and covering entities on a global basis, the Tax Accountant will sit between finance and the mainstream tax team acting as a " connector". It is envisaged that 75% of the role will focus on tax related responsibilities, the remainder on ad hoc finance and accounting tasks. Duties will include:
  • The preparation of timely and accurate indirect tax returns
  • Track all indirect tax obligations ensuring all operational processes are working correctly
  • Monitor and register new clients
  • Manage all relevant notices from tax authoriites
  • Assit with the integration of new tax software
  • Lead tax audits
  • Work within a small finance team
  • Ad hoc accounting and project tasks as delegated by senior management
Tax Accountant- Candidate requirements:

Looking for an energetic self starter and qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) who is now looking to take their career to the next level within an invigorating and challenging work environment.
  • Degree educated, and a recently qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA with 3-8 years PQE
  • 4-10 years of proven finance experience with additional exposure to indirect tax
  • Previous experience in a fast moving, dynamic organisation with exposure to the sport or media sector highly advantageous but not essential
  • Strong system skills and IT literacy. Knowledge of Excel essential
  • An excellent team player with a confident, outgoing personality and a commercial mindset
  • A strong communicator who has the ability to implement and influence change at all levels.
