Financial Controller

Our client is currently looking to recruit an experienced and forward–thinking Financial Controller to run a small team, but also be a part of Senior Management. The correct individual would work closely with the CEO and company directors in driving future growth and taking the business to the next level.

They would provide financial support and be required to be hands on with the day–to–day finance function whilst producing financial reports / management accounts to Group.
The ideal applicant will have a proven track record within a growing SME environment, preferably in Manufacturing / FMCG.
You will play a significant role within the senior management team and be involved in key decisions on commercial and operational plans.
The successful individual will receive a thorough handover and insight to the business before taking full control of month end and year end tasks, also including:
Providing financial insight and support across the business
The production of management accounts / financial accounts to board including variance analysis and commentary
Costings analysis
P&L, budgets, cash forecasts, treasury, VAT
Project management, suggesting change and leading process improvements
People management, leadership, sharing ideas, training and development of others
Ensure tax and other statutory requirements are complied with
Main point of contact for year–end statutory audit
Maintain positive working relationships with the organisations Bank, Funders and Auditors
Excellent communication skills
Manufacturing experience as a strong team player supporting the MD in delivering results
