An exceptional opportunity has arisen with a North Surrey-based Educational Trust for a Director of Finance and IT who has a proven track record of leadership and commercialism. The successful candidate will be professionally Qualified ACA. ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA and have highly developed financial acumen and strategic vision to inspire advancement within Finance and IT
Reporting to the CEO duties of the role include
Reporting to the CEO duties of the role include
- Providing strategic guidance, leadership and management of all the Trust’s finances
- Advising the CEO and Trustees on all financial matters relating to the Trust.
- Responsibility for the delivery of financial support services throughout the Trust, including the management of the Trust’s accounting system and controls.
- Providing a primary point of contact for all aspects of funding and financial/statutory returns.
- Ensuring financial governance and financial risk management arrangements are in place
- Preparing and monitoring budgets and ensuring delivery of annual accounts in accordance with ESFA/DfE
- Providing strategic guidance, leadership and management of the Trust’s IT provision,
- Keeping abreast of technological developments in IT
- Overseeing the Trust’s relationships with external IT providers, consultants and contractors.
- Supporting the CEO and Trust Board in developing the Strategic Plan, with particular focus on shared services of finance and IT.
