Business Development Manager

Basic: GBP50,000 – GBP60,000 / OTE GBP90,000 – GBP120,000

Selling: SaaS in to Construction

Our client is a leading Software Company that provide solutions in to the AEC (mainly construction) space. Following over GBP20m in investment this is the perfect time to join as they look to expand their global operations. They are looking for Business Development Managers to join their business and help them take over the UK market.

Their solution allows companies to manage their project effectively and efficiently through a leading cloud SaaS platform. Allowing organisation to improve productivity, organisation and efficiencies through their management platform.

They are a business that hires outstanding people and will be able to provide substantial opportunities for career growth. This role will be based working from home and travel within UK and Ireland will be required as part of this role once safe to do so. You will also have the support or a successful marketing and internal sales team.

The primary focus of this role is to identify and develop opportunities within Construction Companies. You will need to have a background of selling into construction firms and understanding how these types of companies work with contractors and subcontractors.

Business Development Manager – Responsibilities

  • Sourcing new leads and opportunities within Construction firms
  • Demonstrating the solution to prospects
  • Increasing client base working against targets
  • Negotiating with stakeholders
  • Working as an individual and as part of a team
  • Developing growth strategies and plans
  • Working closely with Marketing on campaigns and go to market strategy
  • Increasing client base working against targets
  • Capitalising on an in–depth knowledge of business products and value proposition
  • Interrogating LinkedIn and other online resources to build relationships and identify opportunities
  • Using HubSpot CRM to record, track and diarise prospect interactions and sales status
  • Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs
  • Researching business opportunities and viable income streams
  • Following industry trends locally and internationally
  • Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements

Experience Required – Business Development Manager

  • 3+ years Business Development Experience
  • SaaS, IT Sales, Software, Cloud Solutions, Digital sales background
  • Experience selling in to construction firms a strong preference
  • Strong new business experience from lead generation through to close
  • Comfortable demoing solutions to senior leaders
  • Able to work autonomously
