Our client are a leading UK membership body tackling high profile issues in transport and environment policy.
Working as part of an established policy and corporate affairs function, this Public Affairs Officer will proactively support the promotion and awareness of key issues in their industry, which include the technology, climate change and consumer protection.
Responsibilities will include:
Supporting the communication of policy issues and subjects across all areas of relevance to the sector
Establishing relationships with a diverse range of industry stakeholders as well as MPs and Government departments
Helping the implementation of communications campaigns
Successful candidates will require:
Good knowledge of UK national and local policy–making and political process – experience of having built relationships with political and professional decision makers is highly desirable
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to translate complex issues into creative narrative
Highly organised and self–motivated
Some experience of working in environment, business, energy or transport would be valuable
Working in North West London, the role will be preferably office based for 2 days per week with occasional travel in and around London. A 4 day week can be considered.
