Altum are excited to partner with a world–renowned architecture firm to secure a Corporate Finance Manager to help establish financial processes, reporting lines and governance, resulting in the opportunity for an event in the near future. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company and become a key part of their continued strategic expansion.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of the finance function and aim to implement new processes, drive efficiencies, provide strategic analysis and improve the overall control framework. This is an evolving environment and requires a proactive and dynamic approach, with the willingness to be "hands–on" when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on strategy, analysis, and planning, and revise financial risk and cash management
- Aid the development of new initiatives, both strategic and commercial
- Implement accounting policies, system improvements, and increase the efficiency of processes and controls
- Introduce regular budgeting and forecasting processes with recommendations on progress
- Liaise with senior leadership and directors regarding the annual business development plan
- Deliver rolling financial models to drive business growth and profitability
- Produce key metrics to maximise business strategy and increase business performance
- Liaise with International Directors regarding bids and tenders, aiding with price and value strategies
- Recognise areas for improvement and enhance productivity and efficiency
- Ensure all regulatory and statutory requirements are met and accounts are filings in an accurate and timely manner
- Manage and retain effective external relationships e.g., auditors, banks, lawyers, statutory bodies, etc.
- Take ownership in coordinating system integration
- Oversee company investments according to shareholder requirements
- Help to recruit and train junior staff
Key Skills
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
- Experience in a scale–up environment
- Excellent communication skills– especially when speaking with non–financial staff
- Motivating and inspiring leader
- Experience working towards an event
- Experience implementing processes and driving businesses
