Head of Business Development - Energy Sector

Harvey Nash is now inviting candidates to apply for the role of Head of Business Development, a four month contract role which can pay up to GBP700 a day, inside of IR35. This is a remote role with limited travel expected to one of our clients offices (UK wide). Candidates applying must have energy sector experience, ideally within Energy Infrastructure.

• You will be responsible for all project development from initiation through to point of hand over for construction. You will be responsible for driving the pipeline and growth of the business.
• You will develop and execute development strategy, oversee pipeline and develop and manage projects from initial identification, from acquisition completion, commercial appraisal, design, grid approval and land assemblage, planning and all stages up to construction.
• With significant ambitions for growth you will be responsible for recruiting a high calibre team of development professions.

Experience Required:

• Energy infrastructure development (grid, land, planning, energy markets)
• Legal knowledge of planning and the consenting process
• Understanding of the latest energy technology developments
• Funding options for complex development projects.
• Best practice project management tools and techniques eg APM or PMI.
• Experience of leading a team
