Our client is a market leading manufacturing business based in the Bexleyheath / Erith area of Kent, on the outskirts of Greater London.
This is a large and fast paced manufacturer, in a busy environment, working for a client who support the major UK market leading retailers.
Description
As Financial Controller you will take a lead role in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual accounts, and will provide key support and information for the Finance Director, assisting in key decision making.
You will lead a small team of 4 accountants, and will be ultimately responsible for the preparation of financial reports, as well as payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
You will work in tandem with the commercial management accountant, and together you will provide key support to the Finance Director and operational business partners.
Previous Financial Controller or Finance Manager experience in a site based manufacturing / FMCG role would be beneficial.
Profile
The successful Financial Controller will most likely be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) but sufficiently experienced candidates with relevant experience in similar businesses may be considered.
You will have a strong, technical and financial accounting skill set, and be well versed in month end, quarter end and yer end processes.
You will have experience of payroll, credit control, Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger, and be able to develop the team to improve these functions.
You will be a strong communicator with excellent influencing skills
Previous experience of operating in a fast paced manufacturing / FMCG environment as a Finance Manager / Controller would be beneficial.
Job Offer
This role will pay an attractive base salary of up to £70/75,000 + 25 days annual leave + Statutory Pension.
