We are happy to be recruiting for one of our high–profile banking clients based in Edinburgh. They are currently looking for a Lead Business Analyst to join them for an initial 6 month contract, however, with the possibility for extension,
Overview of the role:
As a Lead Business Analyst, you will be part of a Group Transformation working in the CBBT Rectification & Remediation (R&R) team, based in Edinburgh within the Servicing Value–Stream. R&R is a multi–skilled, very agile team with their primary goal of putting things right when things have gone wrong for their clients. The R&R portfolio is varied, high–profile and always challenging. They work closely within the team and across business units to understand and correct what has gone wrong, to ensure their clients are treated fairly and to make sure the lessons are learned. They enable the business to maintain the highest levels of service to their clients whilst fully adhering to all regulatory standards and requirements. They also feel empowered to challenge thinking and behaviours in an open, safe, and innovative environment.
Outline of Duties:
You'll be responsible for the requirements elicitation, analysis, process design and solution design for a medium sized product and/or project. You'll use Business Analysis tools and techniques to support the Project Manager to identify and understand the business need, analyse, and prioritise the requirements, through to assessing, designing, testing and implementing agreed solutions.
You'll use customer and data insights to influence the Business to make the right choices in the changes they execute, ensuring investment is made in the right business solution, focusing on the items of the highest value to our customer and the business, and that improve our online journeys and the overall customer experience.
You'll define, document, and support the implementation of changes to the customer journeys and colleague processes. Working in collaboration with engineering colleagues you'll develop and maintain the business architecture artefacts and documentation of the associated operating model.
You'll be detailed orientated, an analytical thinker, have a passion for understanding our customers and use innovative ways to come up with new solutions. You'll respond to individual and team objectives and invests in improving personal performance by growing own skills and capabilities. You'll collaborate with the wider Business Analyst Chapter to share best practices and lessons learnt and coach others when required.
Key Skills and Attributes:
* Solid understanding of business analysis and business architecture methodologies and techniques and their practical application
* Exposure to skills from multiple subject areas such as Operating Model, Process Design, Digital and Technology
* Exposure to systems thinking, business architecture and change delivery
* Excellent investigative skills, able to identify root causes and quantify business and client impact.
* Evidence of maintaining internal and external networks to source data and information to enable timely recommendations and advice
* Evidence of managing a team of BAs, being a mentor and coach whilst handling a project of work
* Evidence of Engaging and influencing partners, anticipating, clarifying and shaping requirements for the purpose of optimising business result.
Additional Skills/Experience of Data Analyst would also be a benefit:
* Understanding of MI reporting systems and associated processes.
* Experience of working in a data–focused role
* SQL skills to query data from various sources including the Group Data Warehouse.
* Excellent analytical skills.
* Ability to use of a wide range of software tools to facilitate data investigation and data provision

Location:
This is a remote working role, however there may be a requirement to go into the Edinburgh office at some stage.
