Senior Legal Counsel - 6 month FTC

SUMMARY: Senior Legal Counsel - 6 month FTC, Remote / Surrey - Hybrid working available, 8+ PQE. Our client, an insurer, are actively seeking a Senior Legal Counsel on a 6 month FTC providing cover for an internal secondment. Ideally you will be available to commence at short notice and possess previous In-House similar expertise.

JOB TITLE: Senior Legal Counsel - 6 month FTC LOCATION: Surrey / Remote PQE: 8+ ANNUAL SALARY: £Dependant on Experience

THE ROLE: The Senior Legal Counsel will be assisting our client with managing legal risks and providing commercially focused advice and support. The successful candidate will advise on a wide range of legal, risk and compliance matters, including commercial contracts, client engagement terms, policies, intellectual property rights and data protection. The appointed Senior Legal Counsel will be able to come in and hit the ground running taking on the workload of the current role holder who is on an internal secondment. You will be providing comprehensive, accurate, timely and cost-effective legal and regulatory advice and services, which will add value to the business. Ideally the successful candidate will possess previous experience of working within a financial and/or insurer environment. This role is offered predominantly working remotely with occasional office presence. .

THE CANDIDATE: Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors or Barristers with upwards of 8 years' experience within a similar environment or Commercial role. To be successful in this role the candidate must possess comprehensive knowledge of relevant law, legislation and regulation concerning financial services, in particular insurance/reinsurance, data protection, competition law, intellectual property, commercial law, IT, advertising and marketing and confidentiality.. You will have a self-starting approach to tasks and projects aswell as proven negotiating and drafting experience and relationship management skills to be successful in this role.
