Software Developer

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Development Engineer to join their team in Warrington. This is a great opportunity to join the development team, working on all aspects of the companys software and hardware. This will be a highly varied and interesting role where you can progress your career and challenge yourself.

The role will include all aspects of the software life cycle including 2nd line support, software development, system testing and release management. You will occasionally be required to visit customer sites to conduct trial of new releases and products. The ideal candidate will have 2 years software development experience, be an effective communicator and work well to your own initiative.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Duties and training will be performed as requested by the Development Manager.

* Provide second line support for the companys systems

* Engage in development and updates to software systems as directed

* Integrate 3rd party sensors and systems into the software platform

* Backend SQL Database support

* Develop working understanding of condition monitoring and vibration analysis.

Technical Background:

* A–Levels Inc. Science and Maths OR HND in an Engineering Discipline or BTEC level 3/4 in Electronic Engineering or equivalent

* 3 years software development experience

* 2–year understanding of C#, databases, and entity framework

* Engineering or Computer science degree desirable

* Ability to work on your own initiative and under pressure

* Be self–motivated and enthusiastic and be able to demonstrate your ability to investigate and solve problems as they arise.

* Desire to provide exceptional customer service

* Confident presenting ideas to senior team members
