People Business Partner

At Leonardo, we have a fantastic new opportunity for a People Business Partner to join us on a 9 month fixed term contract. Leonardo is a global high–tech company and one of the key players in Aerospace, Defence and Security. Headquartered in Italy, Leonardo has over 45,000 employees, of which 7,000 are based in the UK.

As a People Business Partner, the role will support a number of functions within the Radar and Advanced Targeting (RATs) line of business, which is located in Edinburgh. The role will report to the Senior People Business Partner (SBP) for the relevant functions, and will work closely with the wider People team.

You will support the Senior PBP in delivering and leading projects into three functions in the RATs line of business across a range of people areas including resourcing, career development, succession planning, performance management and employee relations
You will support the Senior PBP and functional leadership teams to mature and embed the UK People Plan
You will support the application of best people practice and the enhancement of management skills that align to Leonardo's values and its People Management Fundamentals
You will contribute to the planning and implementation of projects, including pay review process and development of our people to ensure they are fit for the future
You will support and advise managers on employee relations issues, policy interpretation and application and occupational health
You will facilitate workshops and coaching of leaders and managers
You will working in partnership with the outsourced HR provider to ensure a seamless delivery of operational and administrative HR service
