Overview:
This is an extremely exciting opportunity for you to play a pivotal role in the development of our next generation of systems.
Depending on your experience, preferences and career development goals, your key activities could cover all aspects of the systems engineering lifecycle. You can expect utilize your experience to lead the development of functional and non–functional requirements; architecting a coherent and compelling product; producing system and subsystem specifications; developing, defining and performing verification and validation activities at subsystem and system levels.
Experience needed:
Ideally qualified to degree–level or equivalent experience in a Physics or Engineering based subject, such as; Electronics, Hardware, Computer Science, Software or Systems Engineering etc.
Experience in negotiating and agreeing system requirements with customers and stakeholders..
Requirements management using IBM DOORs or similar tool.
A good appreciation of mechanical, electrical and software engineering principals.
Good team player, with a proactive, collaborative approach and an ability to motivate others.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Good time management and ability to switch efficiently from one task to another.
Stable performer under pressure.
Strong analytical and problem–solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to express ideas, share technical information and communicate at all levels and across different cultures.
Be willing to coach/mentor members of the team to aid and monitor their development, providing feedback to performance reviews.
Demonstrates strong initiative in attempts to influence events to achieve goals.
Able to present complex information to senior managers and customers in a clear and concise fashion.
Desirable:
Experience in the Defence / Aerospace or safety regulated environment would be advantageous.
Technical Leadership experience.
