Senior Systems Engineer

In this varied and challenging role, you will provide subject matter expertise to support the technical delivery of secure end–to–end radio solutions in a multi–bearer, mobile environment from design to delivery and transition to service.

As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for successfully applying current knowledge to the development of legacy and current military–specific telecommunication technologies in support of planned and future military communication installations to the MOD.

Responsibilities will include:

* Design reviews, by taking existing design documents and reading across to system requirements to validate the design and produce appropriate test documentation.
* Independently create and run test plans and schedules. Contribute to test strategy decisions.
* Working with other parts of the business and customer or subcontractors to integrate technology into wider systems.
* Able to ensure documentation produced is clear and concise and appropriate to the project and/or the recipient.
* Able to identify and resolve technical issues by using in–depth knowledge communication principles.
* Provide mentorship to team members to share knowledge on latest technical developments and design.

The Fit:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate significant experience in the defence systems Industry, including knowledge of communications technology.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the military and MoD environment, including a technical understanding of the systems deployed and the types of information being transferred over the networks.

Experience of naval systems, in particular submarine systems would be a distnct advantage also
