We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager for our growing construction client.
Location will be a mixture of remote working, attending the head office (Rochester, Kent) and site visits.
Salary is up to GBP75K depending on experience. Hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm.
The ideal candidate needs to have the following competencies:
Understanding of marketing, PR and relationship marketing principles.
The ability to construct executive reports summarising a range of activities and their impact.
Knowledge and understanding of the completion and submission of professional PQQ and Tender Submission process.
A creative mind towards new and innovative marketing strategies.
The ability to present key strategic decisions to the board for the better development of the business.
A good understanding and experience of the construction and insulation industry.
Knowledge of the Energy Act and the implications to which it has an effect on the business.
Business Development Manager overall purpose of role
To:
Manage and monitor the market and business development plan for company
Increase the profile of the company in its chosen market through business relationships
To generate tenders through leads, contacts and business acquaintances
Liaise with estimating manager to advise appropriate responses to ITTs, pitches and proposals
Business Development Manager Responsibilities
Creation, management and monitoring of marketing and business development plan and associated budget
Management of relationships with key clients – funders, clients and consultants
Managing responses to opportunities including, pitches and proposals
Maintaining a positive & consistent brand image for the company
Business Development Manager Key tasks
The Management of Key Client Relations
Maintaining communication with Key Consultants
Attend and/or assure Bid meetings are conducted displaying our key business ethics and brand value
Attend and/or organise Client Entertainment events
Attend and/or organise Project Open Days and showcase events
Attend Exhibitions / industry networking events
Management, Design and content write all marketing and sales literature
Assist with the process of accreditations for the business
Manage design and improvement to the company's website
Pipeline forecast
Competencies – skills and attributes
Role–specific:
