Business Development Manager and Senior BDM.

Electronic Document Management Systems (EDM). Public Sector focus.

Birmingham, West Midlands (Part home working, some UK client travel)

GBP40,000 – GBP70,000 Basic salary depending on experience and seniority + Bens + Comm. Double your basic salary to OTE in excess of 100K. Highly achievable here (Uncapped).

Established supplier of novel SaaS and on –prem based document management systems to Local Authorities, NHS Trusts, Educational Establishments, Governmental Organisations and increasingly private sector companies including household name international retailers; requires 2 experienced IT Software Sales Business Development Managers to join their small friendly sales team based near central Birmingham. You will help drive their next stage of growth, selling directly to market and through various strategic UK channel partners.

My clients have developed innovative functionality for their system using government backed R and D investments and alliances with prestigious local higher education bodies to provide more than just a document management system They are leveraging the power of AI and NLP to provide enterprise document discovery and redaction capabilities previously much harder to automate at scale.

My client is looking for a BDM with 5 years + enterprise grade software sales and a Senior BDM with circa 10 years+ experience.

Will suit experienced and proven business systems salespeople with experience of working within the public sector procurement landscape.

Required Skills and Experience:

Experience in consultative, solution led software selling with a mature a style of Account Management and focus on relationship based solution selling.

You will have strong experience in the art of negotiation and persuasion and enthusiasm for developments in commercial IT technology.

Knowledge and exposure to document and/or records management and/or digitisation/OCR software preferred but will consider similar. Primary customers are public sector however they are also looking to focus on more of the private sector, particularly in the finance & insurance area where knowledge need experience is also of interest.

Experience using sales tracking and/or CRM software and PowerPoint to develop tailored presentations and demonstration set ups for potential clients is essential.

Must be comfortable selling vie Zoom/Teams as well as on the phone and in person and have a good general understanding of modern Windows based IT infrastructure networks including Active Directory and database concepts for instance.

You must be a proven self–starter with the ability to position software product business benefits and develop a strong pipeline of business from leads and appointments provided by internal marketing and external demand generation capabilities through to close. Pre–Sales technical support resource is available in support of meetings and proposals.
