Sales Director, Corrugated Packaging – West Midlands
Leading independent suppliers of corrugated and cardboard packaging to the FMCG, eCom & Food sectors, seek a truly dynamic Sales Director, possessing the personality & connectivity to drive their ongoing strategy for growth, plus the experience & ambition to transition into a General Manager/Managing Director responsibility in cementing their long term market presence.
Operating from a highly impressive West Midlands production site, they deliver a combination of value engineering, high product quality and excellent customer service, becoming the largest single site sheet plant in the UK with a turnover of more than GBP45m.
You will have a demonstrably significant presence in the Corrugate, Carton & Food Packaging industries, utilising excellent influencing skills and leadership style that is both motivational and empowering.
Responsibilities:
* Leading the continued growth in existing business performance, whilst spearheading the focus on wider new Business opportunities
* Implement & manage systems to provide accurate forecasting mechanisms that aid operational planning
* Devise & implement effective and innovative business development plans to facilitate growth and increased profitability within existing and new Customers
* Maintain profits, ensuring sales volumes remain high and prices are consistently negotiated at margin enhanced levels
* Manage, mentor, build and coach the sales team, ensuring their professional development & enhanced performance/success
Skills:
* Proven experience of operating in a strategic sales leadership role within the Packaging arena, successfully establishing management systems and processes to deliver enhanced Business performance.
* A natural leader with the ability to lead growth and inspire the wider team performance
* Impressive influencing skills that engages Customers, Senior Management and all levels of the Internal Business
The Business is fast approaching a level of gravitas & maturity that will enable the existing Directors to step back from the day to day leadership of the Business, so the role offers a truly fully rounded individual who possesses the combination of Sales, Commercial, Operational & Leadership experience, the genuine opportunity to gravitate into a General Management/Managing Director role over the next 18–24 months.
