We are searching for a Business Development Manager to focus on our Chequers business. Chequers is a specialist services partner predominantly in the housing sector, providing facilities services comprising of cleaning, landscaping, building and electrical. As Business Development Manager you will generate and develop business relationships to maximise both revenue and profitability, working to support agreed sales targets.

As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for:

Generate and develop business relationships with an effective approach that maximises both revenue and profitability, working to support agreed sales targets.
Present Churchill Contract Services Ltd to potential clients through direct communication via face–to–face meetings, telephone calls and e–mails.
Devise and deliver tailored presentations to potential clients by using a wide range of presentation techniques.
Actively and successfully, manage the complete sales process; lead generation, credentials pitch, asking questions, solution pitch, negotiation, close and handover to the operations team.
Possess drive, motivation and attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities are explored and capitalised.
Effectively interact with all relevant internal departments including customer services, Bid Team and operations teams.As Business Development Manager you will have the following expertise and attributes:

Excellent interpersonal communication and people management skills
Excellent leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to forward plan, work under pressure and influence at a senior level
Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis
Working knowledge of Health and Safety systems in the cleaning industry
Strong ability to exercise judgement, negotiate and make sound decisions
Ability to work to tight timescales
Experience working with a mixture of commercial and education clients previously would be highly desirable
Strong commercial awareness, financial management, and IT literacy
Passionate, flexible, trustworthy and innovative.
