Description
Key Accountabilities
Financial Reporting and Close Process
- Responsible for all finance and accounting processes and reporting requirements to strict deadlines
- Oversee compliance with the established finance processes and controls related to internal/external reports,
Online Business Systems
- Accounting for and reporting for multi-channel online trading platforms with high transactional volumes
- Management of the integration of online payment platforms
Cash Flow Planning and Management
- Daily, weekly and monthly cash flow reporting and forecasting
Tax Planning, Compliance and Reporting
- Compliance with country tax reporting requirements.
- A thorough understanding of VAT reporting requirements is required including Standard, Reverse Charge and Marginal Rate VAT schemes
- Basic understanding of transfer pricing; work with Group Tax Manager to ensure compliance with Group policy
- Finance Operations / Corporate Governance
Business Planning Process
- Manage annual budgeting activities such as Group HQ reporting requirements and model templates.
- Perform financial analyses and feasibility studies to enable key business decision-making
People Management
- Leading, coaching and developing the UK Finance team to ensure they have the skills and motivation to perform their roles with excellence
Profile
- ACA, CIMA or ACCA Qualified with at least 5 years post qualifying experience,
- Experience of implementing accounting control procedures and reporting to strict deadlines within a corporate environment.
- Local GAAP (Detailed Knowledge)
- Auditing Techniques and Standards (Detailed Knowledge)
- IFRS (Detailed Knowledge)
- UK Tax and Legal Requirements (Detailed Knowledge)
- Demonstrated effective communication skills
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work effectively on their own as well as part of a team
