Just Food Recruitment, part of The JFR Group, is recruiting for a Financial Controller to join this leading manufacturer in the Frozen Food Market place.
JOB PURPOSE:
Work with the senior team both strategically and operationally by providing timely and accurate financial information in order for the appropriate commercial and operational decisions to be taken.
To provide strong financial control and manage the businesses exposure to risk through the provision of first class financial management processes.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Finance Director
ACCOUNTABILITIES/TASKS:
Provides leadership to the Finance team. Conduct 1:1s meetings and performance reviews for direct reports on a regular basis. Ensure objectives are set and cascaded throughout the team. Facilitate development of direct reports, through annual development plans that are reviewed regularly.
Provide a visible presence to the finance team; carrying out regular communications.
Identify all aspects of financial risk and inform the Board of Directors; develop the appropriate solutions to mitigate them.
Ensure the business has sound financial processes and design internal controls to ensure compliance of financial and operational processes with the various stakeholder requirements.
Lead financial planning processes (budgeting and forecasting) and analyses the performance of the manufacturing sites in line with the business plan, recommending improvements in revenue, costs and margins. Be proactive in influencing the commercial decision making within the business ensuring that profit margins and service levels are maximised.
Ensure the provision of timely and accurate financial data for both external and internal reporting requirements whilst constantly looking to develop the Finance function (team, systems, tools, procedures and processes).
Carry out monthly re–forecasting against P&L and cash flow advising the Board of Directors of any key changes to plan.
Establish robust controls. Manage cash and cash availability. Ensure the working capital of the business is appropriate and tightly controlled.
Drive significant improvements in relation to the interpretation of financial performance.
Manage, coordinate all statutory requirements.
To lead and direct the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the Environmental,
Health and Safety Management systems, security management, all disaster and emergency management, business continuity and risk minimisation programmes to ensure a safe working environment.
All Directors, Managers and Supervisors within The Authentic Food Company are required at all times to ensure that the standards, behaviours and activities of both themselves and their teams are always in compliance with the requirements of the business HACCP and Quality Management Systems, the requirements of the standards, policies and codes of practice of the customers of the client's and the requirements of the current versions of the adopted 3rd party standards, BRC Global Food Safety,
International Food Standard and OHSAS 18001.
ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:
Financial qualification ACA, CIMA, ACCA.
3 post qualification years–experience.
Team player with a clear will to succeed.
Great presentation and communication skills.
Ability to be flexible and put their varied skills to any task.
