Project Director – North East

A unique opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Project Director for the successful management of a major capital project in the North East.

Responsibilities:

Reporting into the Regional Director providing strategic technical, operational, financial, and managerial leadership for the successful implementation of major building services projects from pre–construction to handover
Ensure that the project programs are technically sound and consistent with the client's specification
Provide oversight of program implementation including all activities, outputs, and outcomes related to project management and administration, including reporting, budget development and monitoring, financial transactions, execution of project plans and project performance.
Ultimate accountability to ensures the projects produce the specified results to the required standard of quality, health and safety and within the timeline and budget parameters
Oversee the procurement and outstanding performance of supply chain partners
Acts as the primary project contact person and liaison with clients, other key stakeholders and supply chain in order to successfully create buildings of the very highest quality, safely, on time to budget
What you will need:

Experience of leading, managing, designing and implementing multi–million–pound building services projects
Technical expertise and program management skills
Demonstrate diplomatic, management and communication skills to liaise and advocate
Proven ability to write technical reports and program documents and deliver presentations.
Good Knowledge of building technology and building contracts
Proven understanding of financial appraisals to assess the viability of projects
Evidence of strong interpersonal, communication and team working skills used to motivate and direct team members and partners
Excellent IT skills
Ideally to reside in the north east of England
