Parkinson Lee Executive Search are currently retained partners with a Global Payments Software organisation in the appointment of a UK Managing Director.
As the commercially focused MD you will develop and deliver the UK strategy, hold full P&L responsibility and drive growth by taking ownership for the Sales, Business Development and Account Management teams by setting the tactical and long–term go to market direction.
In this client facing role, you will be required to undertake business development opportunities directly, managing key relationships across the UK & Ireland.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Develop and deliver short and long term strategic and tactical plans for the UK & Ireland
*Lead business and strategy meetings, cross functionally with finance, product and operations to support new product development and new market infiltration
*Identify growth opportunities for the business (potential acquisitions). Lead, review, close and integrate in line with strategic plans for the business
*Recruit, train, develop and mentor new commercial professionals
*Ensure key relationships with banks, payment processors, acquirers, alternative payment providers and major retailers are maintained
*Be at the forefront of business trends, market opportunities and competition

*A proven leader within a commercially focused Managing Director capacity
*Demonstrable experience within the Payments sector
*Able to demonstrate growth within previous organisations
*High energy and gravitas to lead and motivate high performing commercial teams
*P&L experience
*Knowledge of working within a matrix organisation would be advantageous
*Experience of developing and launching new products or entering new markets
*The role will offer hybrid working, however in the first 3–6 month you will need to have some presence on site in the Head Office in the North of England.
