Civil and Criminal Litigation Lawyer

South East

GBP50 – 55 per hour

Civil and Criminal Litigation Lawyer is required to join a local authority based in the South East for a period of until September 2022 initially with the view to extend thereafter depending on permanent recruitment.

Our client is looking for an experienced local authority litigator who is able to undertake criminal enforcement matters in the main alongside other civil litigation matters. There may be the possibility to pick up the odd prosecutions matters, however this experience is not a necessity for the role.

The client is happy for candidates to work the role on a remote working basis, however candidates must be able to attend Court in person and are required to, usually, attend court once or twice per month.

The successful Litigation Solicitor will take on a mixed civil and criminal litigation caseload. The workload will include:

  • Criminal enforcment
  • Closure Matter
  • Licensing
  • Breach of Injunction
  • Housing matters

Our client is happy to consider candidates on either a 4 or 5 day week basis.

Candidates from public authority, private practise and housing associations are encouraged to apply as the client is open to discussions with lawyers from a different backgrounds.
