International HR Business Partner: 3 Month Fixed Term Contract: Remote working with travel required for meetings: Paying GBP50,000
Morson Talent are partnering with our leading engineering client to assist in their search for an experienced International HR Business Partner to join their team on a 3 Month Fixed Term Contract. The International HR Business Partner will report into the Head of Compensation & Benefits and will be required to work closely with Senior Management Teams, the People Team, Support Functions such as Payroll, Finance, Taxation, IT, Marketing and the Global Mobility team to ensure that the UK is compliant, competitive internationally and offers attractive best practice methods, as well as innovative ideas and projects to ensure competitiveness and improved business performance.
The International HR Business Partner will be a trusted advisor to senior managers and their teams and support the organisations vision of improving the quality of life and becoming a UK employer of choice by providing best in class International Mobility service to the UK region and supporting movement of talent in and out of the region on assignment/secondments and permanent transfers.
The International HR Business Partner will be the key point of contact for providing guidance and advice across the business on assignment and international move related queries or issues. Additional requirements for this role include:
Supporting the transfer of employees from / to UK (inbound, outbound and third–country), engaging with the business on individual cases to review package preparation e.g. cost projections and calculations, assignment letters, modified/shadow payroll, providing pre departure briefings and ensuring the correct processes are followed.
Tracking all assignments on the International Assignment Tracker ensuring information is kept up to date and accurate.
Managing relocation logistics for all assignees and global transfers, including tax set up, visa support, relocation management.
Managing the relevant supplier relationships where applicable.
Managing the Temporary Change of Work Location Policy.
Ensuring that the organisation complies with all UK Visas & Immigration (Home Office) requirements, specifically in relation to the UK Right to Work checks and SMS updates.
Managing all tax returns on behalf of UK and liaising with tax advisors to ensure business tax obligations are met.
Overseeing and providing specific advice to the business on business or work visas, and business travel to countries outside of the UK. Working with Tax and Treasury to ensure the Corporate and Employee tax situation is assessed. To avoid costly tax bills and boost profitability.
To be the UK Mobility Contact for any questions relating to the Global Mobility Policy and any future design, development and integration of new policies.
Tracking IHR policy query trends and provide appropriate training to up skill line managers and employees and on the most appropriate transfer type.
Gathering relevant information, analyse key themes and trends and make recommendations to inform policy or process improvement within International HR.
Supporting and executing IHR and business strategies by policy implementation and design.
Participating as a member of the wider HR team, and across all UK client group and management team proactively sharing knowledge and information to maximise effectiveness.
Managing more complex IHR Administration.
Delivering and managing a range of International HR projects.
To be considered for this opportunity, proven success of working in a similar role with thorough knowledge of UK and International HR practices and employment laws is essential. The successful candidate will have solid experience of working with middle and senior managers and a strong working knowledge of global tax and social security regulations.
Ability to analyse and understand key International HR data and metrics using it to inform International HR/Global Mobility initiatives and strategy.
Ability to translate highly complex employment law/immigration/tax advice to non–technical audiences.
Strong team player, adaptive and proactive attitude.
Works effectively and inclusively with a range of people, both within and outside of the organisation.
A flexible attitude and a willingness to share knowledge.
Ability to adapt in a changing environment.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant discipline.
Post Graduate or other relevant qualification desired
