Legal Counsel - Surrey - £Excellent + Car + Bonus

Our client is a global business looking to add further strength and depth to their legal group based in Surrey.

You will advise on a range of commercial legal matters including general terms and conditions, contracts with key customer accounts, procurement contracts, major and complex projects, tenders, marketing support, agency and distribution agreements, IT and IP agreements, minor litigation management and general legal advice to the business.

The team manages the regional compliance agenda to help identify, manage and mitigate legal risk for the UK and beyond in respect of competition law, adherence to the code of ethics, data protection and anti-corruption, including the development and delivery of appropriate training to the business.

Qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales is essential.

Ideally, you will have 2-4 years PQE but this is given as a guide, candidates with suitable experience outside of this bracket are encouraged to apply. Previous in-house experience is desirable, but not essential. In addition to a good knowledge of commercial legal matters, the experience of any of the following legal disciplines is desirable: data protection law, competition/compliance, and IT contracts.
