Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Delta Education Trust
Are you sat at your desk wishing your job meant more? Do you dream of doing the thing you love, but doing it to change thousands of young people’s lives? Are you passionate about everyone having an equal chance for a happy and successful life?
If yes, and you are also an amazing CFO, then we would like to hear from you.
Delta Education Trust is a highly successful and growing Multi Academy Trust in the south of England, formed with the aim of meeting the needs of all pupils, at every stage of their educational journey. Our ethos is encompassed in our vision “Learning together in pursuit of happiness”, which we put into practice by ensuring:
As we embark on the next stage of our Trust’s journey, which will involve us growing our turnover from c.£12m to £50m over the next 2-3 years, we are looking for someone who will take responsibility for leading all aspects of finance across the Trust and have the ability to look beyond the boundaries of our schools to bring new ideas and forge new opportunities.
You must have a strong business acumen, expertise in finance, experience of working with high-performing teams and a clear understanding of how to run highly efficient support services in support of an organisation’s mission.
You will be confident in working at board level and representing the Trust with external stakeholders, including with government departments. Prior experience of working in a school or trust environment may be advantageous, but is certainly not essential. Importantly, candidates must possess a precise, analytical and agile mind, creativity, strong interpersonal skills, plenty of drive and energy, and commitment to the ethos and aims of our Trust.
We have embraced flexible, hybrid working and care more about how you work than where or when. Our schools range from Portsmouth to Portland and our Trust office is currently based at Harbour School Dorset in Bovington, Dorset.
The legal bit
Our Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this legal requirement. The successful applicant's appointment will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment clearances including a Disclosure and Barring Service check (formally CRB).
Qualification Requirements: A professional accountancy qualification.
Closing 10th June Interview Dates 16th & 17th June
