Head of Finance Glasgow Your new companyHays Senior Finance is Exclusively Partnered with a Charitable organisation in Glasgow as they recruit for a Head of Finance. Our client has an annual income of 7 million and have recently received an increase in funding. Our client is a development organisation which have been established for over 70 years and provide support to many partnership organisations across the not for profit sector. Our client is now looking to appoint a Head of Finance to manage the finances of the business reporting to the Chief Executive. This is a permanent role offering up to GBP42,000+ excellent flexible working options including flexible working, 1 day per week office working and 7% pension contribution. Your new roleWorking as part of a wider team of 35 staff, the Head of Finance will ensure the smooth running of the charities financial affairs. The Head of Finance will provide strategic input to the Chief executive working as part of the leadership team and will look at the bigger picture in adding value through monitoring budgets and expenditure. The Head of Finance will be a Qualified Accountant responsible for Quarterly reporting and building relationships with non–financial people. This is an autonomous role where you will liaise with non–financial stakeholders and manage a number of projects and forecasting processes. You will have 1 direct report who will manage all invoicing and administration with the potential to grow the team further over the next year ahead. This is a commercial role with hands on management accounting responsibilities and autonomy to influence and make decisions. What you'll need to succeedWorking with a team focused and passionate team, the Head of Finance must have a positive and collaborative approach to manage end–end delivery of management accounts and have the confidence to provide financial input to senior management. This is a development role for an aspiring Accountant looking to work in a small–medium size function where they can make a real difference as part of their day job. You will be a fully qualified accountant with hands on accounts experience and the ability to build relationships across the team and instigate change.
