To help us on our mission, we're searching for a Senior Manager, Social and Brand to join our Brand & Marketing team. We're pushing to create the UK's most–loved digital bank and you will be a key player in driving this vision. As well as proven expertise running a social media and brand team, to create world–class consumer content, we're on the look–out for like–minded people with insatiable curiosity and relentless optimism. We apply head and heart in equal measure, and expect every member of our team to do the same.
You'll be a digital native, a constant social scroller who believes in the power of social platforms to sell products to the masses and who understands exactly how the most forward–thinking brands make that happen. You will understand the role both organic and paid content play in a strong social media strategy, know when to deploy both, and you'll have a standout vision of what amazing looks like.The role will require you to run our social media channels and brand campaigns, leading a team of brilliant experts across both areas. From TikTok to Twitter, you will use your expertise to build a forward–thinking content plan and strategy and find the very best social media content creation talent in the UK. You will determine the best form of content – video, written, photographic – to create a narrative around Virgin Money that will engage existing customers and drive new customers to our brand and products. You'll also understand how to measure the success of that content, constantly fine–tuning your social output until it's a world–class performer. What's the job really all about?• Think of yourself as the head honcho of the most exciting social media accounts in the UK• You'll spend your time focused on putting together game–changing content and attention–grabbing brand campaigns that will surprise and delight our customers and make people talk about them• You will be running more than a bank's social media channels: you will be running a core platform for the Virgin Money brand that will be central to our contact strategy as a whole• Working with influencers as well as traditional media and will help drive audience growth and engagement in social media• You will be a newshound who is addicted to TikTok, Instagram, Twitter et el – we want to be the bank that brings people relevant content with a Virgin Money twist• You'll build a strong network of stakeholders across the Bank and take them with you• Leading a team of Social & Brand experts
To be brilliant you must have???• Significant experience running social media for a large brand• Strong networks – be well connected in the UK media scene and will also have experience overseeing the creation of content across mixed mediums including video• Experience of building a leading consumer brand through digital content that captures consumers' attention in a truly interactive way• Experience of leading a high performing team with the ability to inspire and create stretch for developmentThe icing on the cake would be???• A sound understanding of financial services
