An opportunity has arisen for a pragmatic HR professional to join a rapidly expanding business and friendly HR team. Reporting into the Head of Central HR, this role will be a true partnering position where you'll be providing both strategic and operational HR support to all levels across two logistics sites. The business is currently undergoing an exciting cultural change program and so you'll have a fantastic opportunity to use your skills and experience of influencing and implementing change, to improve the colleague experience. We're looking for someone with expertise in facilitating and implementing change with a wide array of stakeholders.

This role will be a mixture working in the office which is based in Tamworth and working from home. Ideally, you'll have experience of working in an Operational role (Logistics or Manufacturing) in a fast–paced environment. Specific Duties

  • Work with senior leaders within Logistics and as part of the LKQ ECP HR team to formulate, plan and execute our People and business strategies.[DF2]
  • Lead engagement initiatives and projects with the Logistics Leadership Team
  • Work with the wider HR team and senior management teams to support HR processes including disciplinaries and grievances
  • Deliver or facilitate in–house training on an ad hoc basis on HR topics
  • Support our Talent agenda in logistics, from best practice recruitment and onboarding, through to lead local talent discussions and succession planning.
  • Work with our shared service centres (payroll, HR) and your directly reporting junior HR Business Partner to monitor relevant HR metrics ensure that all day to day HR information and administration is processed accurately

Key Skills Required

  • Ideally both degree and CIPD qualified – although demonstratable experience counts for more
  • Ability to carry yourself professionally at business partner level within a high–volume, fast paced and customer–focused environment
  • Problem solving and analytical capability; experience of managing and analysing HR metrics
  • Ability to lead challenging discussions with key stake holders and employees to find root causes and develop short, medium and long–term plans
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with employees at all levels
  • Hands–on attitude, flexible and adaptable
  • Ability to motivate others and influence work behaviour
  • Strong change management, negotiation and influencing skills.
