We are looking for Strategic Change Partners to join us. Working alongside the HR Business Partners you will be specifically focused on driving the strategic change agenda for the business, both at a local level and enterprise wide. In addition to working with the relevant teams within HR, this role works closely with the Leadership teams within the business areas to fully understand and support the commercial agenda and deliver end to end change activity to deliver the business objectives in a purpose led way.

Day to day you'll???

  • Be responsible for the design, planning and delivery of a range of change programmes impacting colleagues within the specific business areas supported. The scope and breadth of change will encompass a diverse range of short, medium and long term strategic projects and initiatives all aligned to the strategic direction of the Bank and of the relevant business areas.
  • Be required to translate strategic priorities into change objectives and incorporate change management activities into project plans in order to deliver on the People Plan for your assigned areas.
  • Act as a visible and trusted change management expert, working in partnership with members of the leadership and extended leadership teams. You will leverage change model methodology and work hand in hand with the HR Business Partner within your assigned areas of responsibility. Your will work with various teams located in all regions and on many strategic projects. Whilst aspects of this role can be carried out virtually, some travel throughout the UK should be expected.
  • Support the transition to an Agile Enterprise within the relevant business areas, as well as within HR, in line with the Agile ambition and agenda.
  • Role model our purpose of making you happier about money, our values and behaviours and great leadership expectations. Using all of this to actively encourage and challenge colleagues and leaders. You will be adept at keeping the bank safe in terms of the Customer, Commercial, Financial, Legal and Risk related impacts of colleague change.
  • Be able to apply commercial and business acumen to ensure people interventions maximise commercial performance, drawing on your internal and external networks for insights.
  • Be confident to challenge the thinking of Commercial partners where change plans are not aligned to our purpose or strategic agenda.
  • Support your allocated Business Unit(s) to deliver change in line with the organisation's strategic priorities and Business Unit(s) People Plan.
  • Contribute insights which will be used to inform financial planning &/or management.
  • Translate internal and external data into insights which enable leadership teams to make informed decision.

There are a few essentials you need to bring...

  • Commercial experience and solid business acumen
  • Strong influencing, engagement and communication skills
  • Effective change management skills and a sound understanding of dealing with change in large organisations
  • Experience in partnering, advising and coaching at a senior leader level
  • Effective skills and experience across organisation design, capability development and workforce planning
  • Strong understanding of current and emerging HR best practices and legislation and how this can be leveraged
  • Proven ability to balance and manage strategic fit between people resources and initiatives with overall business strategy and goals
  • Ability to interpret workforce metrics and insights
  • Experience of leading Change in an Agile environment, or at minimum working in an Agile environment is critical for the role.

The following would be brilliant...but not essential ...

  • Tertiary qualification in a business or change management discipline with an HR focus, possible post graduate qualification, or equivalent applied experience
  • Knowledge of financial services preferred but not essential.
  • External insight and networks relevant for successful delivery of the role
