Head of Legal - Fintech Business

As the Head of Legal, you will be responsible for the following:

• Strategically advising on the development of new, innovative banking products and services from a legal perspective.
• Building the legal infrastructure and developing policies relevant for the range of products the business sells.
• Building and developing the legal team with a focus on scaling this up quickly to meet the needs of the business.
• Lead and train employees within your team and being a mentor.
• Collaborating with the wider teams and keeping up to date with any legal and regulatory aspects which may affect the running of the business.

You will be the following:

• Minimum of 7 years PQE ideally with experience of working in a rapidly scaling Fintech/tech business or advising these businesses.
• Proven leadership and management experience and of building an in–house legal function.
• A strong working knowledge of regulatory, commercial, corporate and IP matters, including payments regulation and Fintech best practice guidelines.
• Experience of providing regulatory advice which supports business goals.
• Knowledge of ESG practices is advantageous.
