We are looking for someone to support VolkerHighways in determining development needs of employees in line with the business plan, and subsequently defining the best method of delivering the requirements. To support VWUK wide projects with the provision of best in class resources, courses (online and classroom), and frameworks necessary to achieve success.

Key accountabilities

Training delivery

–Design and delivery of both personal & management skills for VH employees
Delivers coaching for individuals within business to assist performance
Delivers team building days, along with bespoke contract requirements such as a focus on collaborative workingStakeholder Management

Builds relationships across business unit to understand the requirements of each functional / operational area
Acts as first point of contact for all people development issues, and either signposts to resource (eg Apprentice Lead) or resolves themselves
Acts as liaison between business unit and group L&D activities / plansNew entrant / emerging talent

Takes overall responsibility for the development of apprentice / graduate / ITP population.
Ensures development plans in place
Flags requirements to the Apprentice lead for bespoke training needsDevelopment and Performance Reviews

Owns the competency frameworks, works with functional lead of each job family to ensure they remain up to date and fit for purpose.
Ensures each individual has the most appropriate person reviewing them at DPR time.Talent and Succession

Contributes to the success of the talent management / succession planning activities within business unit.
Supports line managers with the creation of bespoke development plans for their people.Skills & experience

Experience of delivering projects across a multi–site operation
Ability to create a variety of interventions, whether that be designing classroom content, online via webinars / videos, and resources which help employees in the flow of their work
CIPD qualified advantageousAbout us
