I am working with a Public Sector Organisation based in Harrow who are looking for an experienced Interim Head of Employee Relations for 6 months.

The role is full time, to start in the next month or so and paying GBP50.18 Umbrella per hour. The role is in scope of IR35.

Hybrid working is offered and you must be able to commute to Harrow as and when needed.

As Head of Employee Relations you will:

Lead and manage the ER/HR Team providing expert and generalist HR advice, guidance, insight on Employment policies and Employee Relations / Case Management processes, to allow for a consistent practice /fair application for resolutions and interventions.
Develop the Council's Employee Relations strategy, plan and processes, with a focus on developing a positive employee relations climate during complex organisational change.
Develop effective working relationships with all relevant stakeholders both internally (with a client focus for internal departments) and externally (with Unions/government bodies/agencies).
Develop and establish Employee Relations / Case Management best practice for related activity culminating in a range of case management analytics for reporting to ensure cost effective focus performance. Main duties:

Lead on the management and review of the Employment Policies and review all relevant documentation and practices as appropriate to ensure these are up to date and fit for purpose.
Manage all ER / HR issues and cases specifically around the non–compliance and the adherence to the council's Employment policies and procedures and advising managers in their responsibilities, including identifying trends, areas for improvement and development.
Ensure all new and existing ER/HR processes are mapped / documented using the most appropriate technologies (software & version controls etc).
Undertake projects and tasks focusing on enhancing the ER/HR Teams operational efficiency and improving cross functional team working whilst championing the Customer Service Excellence approach.Please only apply for this post if you are an experienced Head of Employee Relations and are available to start work on no more than 2 week's notice.
