HR Director
Contract: Permanent
Location: West Midlands, with travel
Salary: DOE GBP100,000 – GBP120,000 + package
Our client, a well–known large business is looking for an experienced HR Director to join their energetic and vibrant workforce, based in Midlands, you will be responsible for partnering with a heavily unionised business unit driving strategy & managing large change programmes / plans.
The ideal candidate will come from a unionised background with extensive experience in ER & IR, along with business partnering experience.
Duties of the HR Director will include:
* Building and maintaining effective relationships with line managers and external stakeholders to manage HR needs and issues
* Coach and develop leaders and managers to deliver people management capabilities
* Strategically deploying initiatives to increase employee satisfaction, performance, retention, and effective communication at all levels
* Scan and understand the business' markets, environment, and needs, share insight and implement solutions to drive continuous improvement
* Providing HR input to new business and developing the HR plan for implementation
* Driving the ER agenda and leading / supporting relationships and key processes
* Managing the people impacts of organizational change projects aligned to the business strategy e.g. site openings / closures, restructures etc – supporting change initiatives
* Ensuring the delivery of annual performance and salary review process, aligned to group–wide processes and timelines
* Support managers to develop and deliver solutions for workforce planning and management including organization design, forecasting resourcing needs and identifying future talent requirements
* Provide people and workforce related advice, strategies, and solutions related to workforce planning, recruitment, learning and development, performance management, compensation, and succession planning
* You will be responsible for handling a broad range of HR work, sometimes complex and non–routine requiring background research e.g. legal advice.
Skills required of the HR Director will include:
* Strong understanding of complex demanding business, ideally in manufacturing, retail, engineering, or FMCG businesses and with knowledge of operations
* Excellent extensive HR experience in all key aspects of HR processes including Talent, ER, change etc
* Proven experience of delivery of organisational change projects
* Proven experience of building and maintaining relationships
