Senior Fund Accountant / Controller - Real Estate - London - OUR CLIENT are a major participant in the alternative residential real estate sector and are a privately held investment management firm based in London. Due to company growth a Senior Fund Accountant / Controller role has become available and the successful candidate will report directly to the CFO and assist with the reporting requirements for an allocation of JVs / Funds and its entities as well as providing general support for ad-hoc tasks including acquisitions.
THE ROLE: will be an all-round and commercial Senior Fund Accountant / Controller position and you will be responsible but not limited to the tasks below:

THE ROLE: will be an all-round and commercial Senior Fund Accountant / Controller position and you will be responsible but not limited to the tasks below:
- Compiling monthly reporting packs
- Calculating income distributions and IRRs using financial models, so excellent Excel skills required.
- Reviewing financial accounts periodically.
- Taking responsibility for quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Leading on annual audit process, including ensuring audit requests are pre-empted through the year and organising documents so they are easily accessible and shared.
- Preparing quarterly reporting to lenders, including debt covenant compliance.
- Working on investor reporting.
- Preparing VAT reporting.
- Preparing income tax reporting.
- Responsible for tax compliance.
- Managing fund administrator.
- Onboarding new acquisitions.
- Managing deliverables including all external deadlines and the delivery path to meeting those which often involves outsourcing service providers.
- Conducting research for the Investment Team.
- Modelling: being comfortable with financial modelling.
- In conjunction with service providers preparing and reviewing the following internal and external reporting requirements:
- Distribution and fund model.
- NAV and management fees.
- Cost budgets at fund, GP and SPV levels.
- Distribution forecasts.
- Review of all SPV quarterly financial statements.
- On a quarterly basis ensuring all debt compliance is prepared and submitted.
- Responsible for cash reporting and monitoring including payment of suppliers. Reporting thereon.
