WHAT TO EXPECT

Be a key part of the definition, development and delivery of electric vehicle powertrain systems for the flagship Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division, creating world–class luxury, performance and capability. Working closely with the relevant Centres of Competence (CoCs) within SVO and Core Product Engineering, you will be analysing and combining high voltage battery systems and electric drive units to meet challenging vehicle programme attributes and requirements. This role will be responsible for helping to define and implement the future electric propulsion systems for Jaguar Land Rover's halo product.

This role is responsible for the definition; development and delivery of harmonised systems solutions, consisting of multiple interconnected components, into Jaguar Land Rover vehicles for the SVO Propulsion department.

The Powerpack Systems Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the Powerpack (or propulsion system, e.g. HV battery, on–board charger, electric drive units) are sufficiently specified through system requirements, and ensuring adherence to both legislative and corporate design standards. This role is responsible for ensuring that system requirements are fully traceable back to their origin at the vehicle level and then downwards, into the Centre of Competencies (CoCs), for example the HV battery or electric drive unit commodity teams, and for managing the cascade and impact analysis of changes in requirements.

* System Functional and Non–Functional Analysis – carry out a range of analysis and investigations of the customer requirements to define the expected system functionality and their performance targets.
* Evaluate multiple system design concepts and maintain integrity between system and its components to arrive at a harmonised solution
* System Functional and Physical Architecture – Liaise with architecture teams to maintain alignment with the specified programmes, as well as electrical and physical vehicle architecture.
