Ever felt limited by your employer's process and their traditional way of thinking?

What about your progression? Has that ever been restricted because of your organisations structure?

Well, what if I told you that I'm working with a business so forward thinking that they know you don't even need 5 working days to deliver results, that you can enjoy a whole day to yourself, without even effecting your pay?

I'm working with a small (but growing!) E–commerce focused digital marketing agency who are hiring for their FIRST EVER BDM. Organic growth through referrals and word of mouth has put them in great stead, but they're ambitious, and they want to go further.

This is where you come in.

You'll quite literally have a blank canvas to work from, so this isn't for you if you need your hand held, this is about being proactive and strategically building out this department, with your own personal touch.

You'll put together a strategy on how to lead and grow the business development function, whilst using your hunter mindset to bring on new business, always prioritising quality over quantity.

As part of a small team, you'll need to be used to coordinating internally to get deals over the line, this won't all be on you, you'll have awesome support from your expert colleagues so you can focus on delivering the best service as possible, over a long period of time.

You'll need to be ambitious and forward thinking to fit in here, the sales team won't stop with you and you'll be responsible for onboarding BDE's and growing out the team as soon as you need it!

As far as the culture goes, they really consider themselves friends before colleagues, and are partial to a bit of office banter, not forgetting their 4–day (32hr) work week to promote a healthier work/life balance.

They're pretty flexible about your professional experience, and are an open–minded bunch, however, ideally, you'll have:

Business development experience at an agency offering digital marketing and technology services

Confidence and a proven track record in outbound and inbound sales

Great organisational and time management skills to keep track of prospects and keep your pipeline moving

Their HQ is in Newcastle however you can be remotely based, they would love to see you in the office as much as you can though so ideally, you'll be local(ish).

If this sounds like you, even a little, hit apply, I have way more good stuff to share
