NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the UK's largest providers of acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services delivering healthcare to a local population of 1.2 million people in the West of Scotland.

Our employees are our greatest strength. With around 40,000 dedicated members of staff employed in over 350 clinical and non–clinical roles across a diverse range of health and care facilities, covering 6 local authority areas, we aim to continue attracting and nurturing the most talented and person centred people to continue our journey to be a Better Workplace.

Our 2021–25 Workforce Strategy, together with vision of Growing our Great Community, puts staff right at the centre of our thinking. The last 2 years in particular have been challenging for our whole workforce and we want our new Head of Staff Experience to develop and lead our employee experience programmes bringing bold, ambitious and innovative thinking and external best practices to the role.

Candidates require a proven track record in the delivery of sustainable transformation and change. Having a platform which gives our staff a voice to share their lived experience is key to the success of our organisation.

With exceptional listening and influencing skills and the ability to communicate effectively across the workforce, you will be expected to be visible working with all of our stakeholders ensuring that we have the right connection between our local sites and our Board's ambitions.

As a key member of an already established and forward thinking Human Resources and Organisational Development leadership team, you will report directly to our Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development, bringing an innovative approach to how we listen and engage in a way which clearly and positively conveys our values, promotes diversity in our workplace and nurtures personal and professional growth.

This is a high profile and challenging role presenting multiple competing demands requiring experience and a strong track record of working at pace in a Human Resources leadership role in an organisation of similar scale and complexity.

Educated to a masters' level qualification in a relevant subject (or equivalent). A desirable requirement of the role is Chartered/Fellowship membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

If you are inspired by the challenges this opportunity presents and believe you have the relevant skills, experience and qualities we are seeking, we look forward to receiving your application.
