We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of People and Organisational Development to join our senior leadership team to take accountability for the operational delivery of a comprehensive HR function, working collaboratively to provide a customer–focused service that drives improved organisational performance. We are looking for someone to provide clear guidance on all people related matters and be an excellent coach to our management team.
It is an exciting time to join the organisation. We have a refreshed Organisational Strategy with the aim of making us a more resilient and adaptable organisation with the flexibility to grow and meet the needs of increasing numbers of older people who are experiencing challenges including loneliness and dementia.
To achieve this, it is vital that we have a committed and capable leadership team in place. As Director of People and Organisational Development you will work alongside our CEO and Leadership Team to create a culture that allows our people to thrive, focusing on development, inclusion, and wellbeing.
This is a new post for the organisation and is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and innovative professional who can bring about positive change and establish Age UK Herefordshire and Worcestershire as an employer of choice, creating a high–performing culture that supports our business needs and long–term objectives.
You will report to the CEO and manage staff which currently consists of the Training Co–ordinator, HR & Payroll Administrator and Volunteer Co–ordinator.
The role offers the right candidate the chance to help shape the strategic future of a busy charity, whilst being hands on as a leader.
Hours: 30–37
Salary: cGBP45k FTE dependant on experience
Closing date: 5 June
Interviews: 20 & 21 June
Base: Malvern Gate, Bromwich Rd, Worcester with flexibility for some home working.
