Our client is a dynamic, Consulting & Services business. Due to a maternity leave they have a requirement for an Interim Head Of Finance sitting within one of their most prominent divisions. This is a key role within the finance structure, which will entail managing a team with end to end responsibility for the long range planning through to the monthly reporting cycle. It is important to identify a robust character who can not only operate at Board level but also demonstrate leadership whilst providing genuine commercial insight and guidance to senior stakeholders. Key accountabilities include:
- Managing a team responsible for financial reporting along with providing value added financial insight
- Development of financially sound business strategy and annual operating plans
- Monitoring and management of business and financial performance
- Identifying / Evaluating business opportunities, risks and issues and assessing their financial implications
- Development of business cases and/or remedial action plans to maximize performance
- Ensuring adherence to relevant financial policies and procedures eg applications for capital expenditure/investment
- Driving change activity in the business area to ensure benefits are delivered.
- Engaging with the leadership team in their partner area and the finance function to agree the services to be provided by
* Leading and/or contributing to a wide variety of projects and initiatives as required, potentially including corporate transactions
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a first class academic record. The essential skills and experience required are; Excellent communication, high numeracy levels, strong financial / operational and commercial expertise gained from within customer orientated environments .
