ROLE PROFILE
To maintain and develop the quality of the internal control environment across the group and implement JSOX across the group.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruit and Manage team of International Control and Compliance Accountants
- Review existing controls and process, propose mitigating actions where necessary and collaborate with relevant teams to implement mitigating actions
- Deploy JSOX to new countries when required
- Manage the Global Implementation of 'SOX type' controls under the Group's Internal Controls Manual
- Take ownership for the Internal Controls Manual and implement a governance process around updating and distributing the Internal Controls Manual
- Work closely with Internal Audit Department to develop and support cycle testing of controls globally
- Manage other key Group Policies and their periodic review, refresh and distribution
- Develop a plan and methodology to accelerate improvement plans in potential acquisitions through quickly assessing the current control environment of any target and developing a structured process to implement improvements on a risk led approach
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA or equivalent)
- Experience of working with SOX or JSOX
- Experience of coordinating the implementation of 'SOX type' control environments across multiple offices
- Experience of document/policy drafting and review processes
- Experience of preparing high quality training materials (PowerPoint etc) and Process diagrams (Visio)
- Ability to interact with various stakeholders at both Group, Regional and Country level as well as External auditors
- Project Management Skills
