My client, a privately owned business based in North Wales is currently looking to appoint a Finance Director to work as a member of the senior management team under the leadership of the Managing Director to support the company to formulate and implement a business plan which exceeds stakeholder expectations.
The postholder will lead the finance team, aide decision making, contribute to the formulation and definition of financial targets and then support the delivery of results
Duties and Responsibilities
* Lead and line manage the finance team to complete all delegated tasks to an agreed standard within agreed timescales and with maximum efficiency
* Ensure company values are disseminated, experienced, upheld and respected throughout the work of the finance team
* Ensure all statutory reporting responsibilities are complete within timescales
* Provide financial leadership on all procurement decisions as part of the company's management team
* Complete financial modelling to support decision making on commercial opportunities.
* Support the Management Team with the information required to ensure that the best business decisions are made
* Provision of commercial insight to management to drive performance initiatives and to actively participate in those initiatives
* Supporting and challenging Operational Management to ensure that appropriate action is taken to deliver maximum efficiency to drive financial performance
* Ensure that commercial expenditure remains within budget and understanding, and escalating potential risks to the company budget/forecast
* Responsible for the production and reporting of financial KPI's
* Production of performance analysis and variance reporting
* The development of commercial budgets and forecasts
* The development and production of monthly board reports relating to commercial performance and the presentation of results at board level
* Working with Operational and Business Development teams to produce fee structures.
* Contribute to individual development projects as appropriate
* Actively support the development and implementation of the company strategic plan
* Negotiation of fees with customers
Skills required:
Previous experience in a Business Facing Commercial Management Accounts or Finance Business Partner Role, prior experience with Management Accounts, excellent reporting, analytical ability, with proven attention to detail, strong IT skills including advanced excel, including modelling
