Interim Financial Controller - Real Estate - OUR CLIENT is a successful pan European investment and asset management company focussing on private equity investment and real estate development opportunities in London markets. The business is constantly growing and has ambitious growth plans ahead. Now the client is looking to hire an experienced Financial Controller to join their London team on an interim basis.

THE ROLE: will see the individual taking responsibility for the company's finance control and operations. Reporting directly to the Group Head of Control and local MD , the role will encompass the following duties:

  • Budget planning and controlling including cross-border financial controlling and reporting.
  • Undertaking financial management for the UK group companies, including budgeting, controlling, treasury, finance, accounting and administration.
  • Operating forecasting including cash-flow and operating expenditure.
  • Undertaking financial control for existing and pipeline projects and all relevant financial statements.
  • Accounting set up for new projects.
  • Monthly and quarterly reporting and presenting to the board.
  • Being responsible for statutory filing and Tax.
  • Collaborating with accountants, auditors and tax advisor as well as with group functions, such as company secretary and human resources.
  • Taking ownership of KYC process, and financial management of all UK group companies.
  • Leading the external advisor teams responsible for payroll and benefits, VAT and HMRC processes.
  • Handling general financial / commercial queries and all finance topics.
  • Setting up commercial processes on projects including invoice runs and drawdowns.
  • Control internal audit.
THE PERSON: To apply, you should be a qualified (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) accountant and have a proven track record in the real estate sector. You are expected to possess good knowledge associated financial management practices alongside accounting principles and regulation. You will use Excel for financial analysis, forecasting and reporting and have to feel confident using other commercial software (SAP, Navision, Easy, etc.). You also should be a capable manager able to motivate and challenge the team. You should be a strong communicator.
