Senior Financial Controller - Real Estate. OUR CLIENT is an experienced investor, developer and asset manager operating across key gateway cities in Europe and the UK Their sector focus is principally set across multiple growing real estate asset classes and since the inception of their UK focused team, our client has operated as a highly focused "market maker" for pipeline and capital, targeting multi risk and sector private equity real estate investment and development opportunities in London and key UK regional markets. Due to recent expansion, they have solely instructed us help them hire a Senior Financial Controller and fluent German Speaker for their London team.
THE ROLE - As head of UK finance the Senior Financial Controller having a primary focus of supporting and managing the London teams' current business and facilitating planned future growth along with the MD and senior management team . THE ROLE - As head of UK finance the Senior Financial Controller having a primary focus of supporting and managing the London teams' current business and facilitating planned future growth along with the MD and senior management team . The individual will be responsible for the company's financial controlling and reporting, as well as other duties such as:
- Responsible for UK group P&L and reporting directly to Germany.
- Supporting the UK groups operational finance and property companies multi-million budget planning and controlling together with ongoing cross-border financial controlling and reporting.
- Managing of key cross-border financial stakeholders including shareholders, group finance team, external advisors, HMRC, Companies House, JV financial controllers.
- Responsible for financial management for the UK group companies, including budgeting, controlling, treasury, finance, accounting and administration.
- Operating company strategic business planning and forecasting to control income, cash-flow and operating expenditure.
- Facilitating financial control for existing and pipeline development projects, through financing, cash-flow and capital expenditure management.
- Developing and documenting accounting policies and procedures to maintain and strengthen controls and streamline month-end and year-end reporting.
- Controlling and accountability for all relevant financial statements.
- Leading the monthly and quarterly reporting and presenting to the board on: Treasury / liquidity planning; Project finance and controlling (DCF, budget controlling); Maintenance and analysis project database; Forecasting fee revenue; Financial metrics for Investor reporting; Banking and risk control; Governance.
- Key interface with accountants, auditors and tax advisor and collaboration with group functions, namely company secretary and human resources
- Leading operational policies and procedures for accounting and finance
- Leading the external advisor teams responsible for payroll and benefits, VAT and HMRC processes.
- Controlling the internal audit process.
