Job Title: Business Analyst
Pay Rate: Negotiable.
Location: Luton (Hybrid)
Contract Length: Initial 3 months.
Advantage Resourcing are working in partnership with a well–known airline company who are currently recruiting a Business Analyst.
The suitable candidate would be able to offer experience with working closely with colleagues across technology, architecture, information security and change to analyse requests, define new solutions and processes, and deliver new products and services to meet the needs of projects and programmes within the prioritised portfolio
The suitable candidate would be able to:
- Works collaboratively with delivery and change teams to review and prioritise new work requests through the appropriate governance, evaluating changes to processes and systems, setting business expectations from the start.
- Drives the capture and documentation of functional, non–functional, technical, and operational requirements and business processes, aligned with the agreed timescales, adhering to industry standards and best practices for Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Works with business areas, App Support, Data Management, InfoSec, SD&T and Architecture to define appropriate and compliant solution and processes to meet business requirements and scope where required.
- Ensures that the full impact of business change considers dependant processes and systems by carrying out structured analysis including flow diagrams, data models, integration use cases etc.
- Evaluate effort (time and cost) and carry out impact analysis of requested change clearly identifying issues, risks, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Build relationships with business stakeholders to effectively manage relationship and set expectations
- Maintains a focus on quality and benefits throughout programme/project life cycle including benefits definition and realisation.
- Develops an understanding of specific functional domains within Commercial and builds their knowledge of Commercial systems and business processes.
- Manages documentation using standard templates, utilise available tools (JIRA, Confluence etc) and ensures collaborative working across the teams.
Skills required:
- The ability to take a conceptual business idea and via structured methodologies elicit requirements and functional specifications
- Good relationship management skills with experience of dealing with internal, external, and third–party suppliers.
- Good communication skills with the ability to understand complex concepts and communicate them in a simple manner.
- Able to question stakeholders and users with confidence, to arrive at a clear, unambiguous view of issues and opportunities.
- Able to work under pressure.
