Area Build Director

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Area Build Director to join our team within Vistry Housebuilding Thames Valley, based out of our office in Reading, Berkshire.

As our Area Build Director you will be responsible for leading the Production Team to achieve high standards of production output and quality, to budget, ensuring a high standard of health and safety is maintained at all times.

While doing this you will effectively motivate, support and manage the area Build Managers and site–based management teams.

We are pleased to say, this role can accommodate agile working arrangements.

Full UK Driving License
5 years' experience as Build Manager, Cntract Manager or Project Manager for a high–volume house builder
Ability to chair and run meetings
Proven track record of motivating and managing a team effectively
Up to date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation
Able to work with others to achieve the desired outcome
Capable of implementing change and of using initiative
Confident outlook combined with resilience and diplomacy
Proven ability to work effectively with senior management
Ability to take a big picture view of multiple sites and make decisions accordingly
Able to work with a high degree of accuracyDesirable –

Embed and drive a customer focused culture by driving sustainable improvements and sharing best practices as a consequence of customer feedback and insight.
Drive a continuous improvement culture which improves the customer experience and responds to consumer trends locally.
Manage customer complaints and disputes to ensure they are addressed in a timely and appropriate manner.
Carry out technical feasibility review of potential sites.
Appraise the project buildability in conjunction with the Development Department and produce a construction programme.
Attend preplanning, pretender and prestart meetings to ensure all necessary construction issues are addressed prior to commencement on site.Finally, let's tell you about us???
